If you are a fourth-year USUHS or Health Professions Scholarship Programs (HPSP) student interested in doing an interview rotation (sub-internship) in GS&O at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, you will need to:

If you are interested in interviewing with us but cannot come for an interview rotation, please note that we cannot accommodate a shadowing experience, but are happy to have you interview with us. Interviews can be held in person or virtually. Please send an email to thomas.c.palmer28.civ@health.mil.

Information to include in your email:

  • Rank and Name

  • Email and phone number

  • Branch of Service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Public Health Service)

  • Name of Medical School

  • Your expected year of graduation

  • Your planned specialty after medical school (preference for rotations from July to October is given to those applying for pediatrics)

  • Whether you are applying to the NCC Pediatric Residency for internship

  • Whether or not you will be traveling to DC on military orders

  • Requested dates of the rotation (be sure to include the year)

  • A ranked order of your rotation preferences (see below)
